  • 2 hours
  • 150 US dollars
  • 1109 North 35th Street

Service Description

Come join us for 2 hours of fun and learning. In this class, you’ll get hands-on experience with clay on a pottery wheel. We provide the clay, tools, and instruction to guide the beginning of your journey with clay. Our demonstrations and lessons will help you achieve your personal goals, and walk away with a basic understanding of the nature of clay, ceramics materials, and kiln firing. We offer beer, wine, espresso and non-alcoholic beverages a la carte. So come enjoy a cold beverage or a glass of your favorite and we'll explore pottery with you. At the end of your class, you will have the choice to keep one of your pieces at no cost. We'll fire additional pieces for a fee of $50 each. Our studio techs and instructors will fire your artwork from wet clay, to ceramic material. You can come back at no charge to glaze your piece while you enjoy the studio and cafe. You can also have it glazed by a professional for a fee of $25.

Upcoming Sessions

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation & Refund Policy CLASSES and WORKSHOPS: Refunds for classes and workshops are welcomed up to 15 days before the start of that class, minus a 10% administrative fee (or you can opt to receive a full refund as store credit). No refunds are given within 15 days of the start of the class or session, or after a class has started. In the event that a class has less than 3 students, we will offer to reschedule the class and or offer a private lesson for an incremental cost. Occasionally, unforeseen circumstances such as inclement weather conditions or a power outage may force us to close the studio and/or cancel classes. In these circumstances, we will notify students via email as soon as possible. We will do our best to reschedule the cancelled classes, but this is not always possible and we cannot make any guarantees regarding rescheduled or replacement classes. Note for all our classes: we are committed to giving you a fun and fulfilling pottery experience, but not necessarily a physical piece of pottery. Although we hope you'll end up making something you love, it doesn't always work out. Pottery is a dynamic material, and even the most skilled potter has failures coming out of the kiln. Although it is our goal for everyone to have a tangible result at the end of a class or workshop, sometimes there are factors that prevent this from happening: such as kiln mishaps, misplaced or mislabeled pieces, breakage, and communication issues. Due to space restrictions, we can only hold pottery for one month after it is completed. If you haven't heard from us within one month of the completion of your class or workshop, please get in touch ASAP. CERAMICS and OTHER GOODS: Returns or exchanges on physical merchandise are accepted at our location within 14 days of purchase. Items must be undamaged and unused. You are responsible for safely packing the item and bring it back to us at our store in, Seattle.
